2 Long Island 7-Elevens Robbed At Gunpoint Overnight

The robber fled the scene on foot after both robberies early Monday, police say.

Two local 7-Eleven stores were robbed at gunpoint overnight and police believe the robberies are related.

According to Suffolk Police, a man entered the 7-Eleven located at 139 Sunrise Highway in East Patchogue at about 1:30 a.m. Monday, displayed a gun and demanded cash from the counter clerk. The clerk complied and the man fled on foot.

At around 3:05 a.m., a man entered the 7-Eleven located at 863 Montauk Highway in Bayport, displayed a gun and demanded cash from the counter clerk. The clerk complied and the man fled on foot.

No arrests have been made. Police did not release a description of the robber.

Police are asking anyone with information about either robbery to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220 TIPS.
