Bellport Students Celebrate National Day On Writing
Students penned a variety of written works in their English language arts classes for display in a writing gallery at the school.

In celebration of the National Day on Writing, Bellport High School students penned a variety of written works in their English language arts classes for display in a writing gallery at the school.

The works included blackout poems, interviews, sonnets, six-word memoirs and reasons why they love to write. The gallery event also featured a contest, to which 33 student pieces were submitted. ELA classes are visiting the gallery, perusing the written works, and voting on their favorite based on the contest categories of most artistic/creative, best use of language, most inspirational, most relatable and teacher's choice.
