Loguercio Announces Success Of Shredding And Drug Take-Back Event

The event resulted in 11,464 lbs. of paper, 6,320 lbs. of e-waste dropped off and 10 boxes of expired medications to be safely disposed of.

On November 5, Councilman Michael Loguercio held his second recycling event of the year at South Country Library in Bellport. More than 400 residents participated in the paper shredding, e-waste recycling and drug take back event that resulted in 11,464 lbs. of paper; 6,320 lbs. of e-waste dropped off and 10 boxes of unwanted and expired medications to be safely disposed of by the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department. Supervisor Romaine said, “These special events are a success because Brookhaven Town residents take recycling very seriously. Thank you to all the folks who worked so hard to make this event run smoothly and efficiently for all. We look forward to seeing more residents take advantage of this great event at our next scheduled one soon."

Councilman Loguercio said, "I am always happy to continue to host these special recycling events year after year and provide our residents an opportunity to utilize these services in a convenient location close to home.
