Police ID Man Killed In East Patchogue Crash
The 27-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene early Friday, police say.
UPDATE 2:45 p.m.: Police have identified the victim as 27-year-old Jonathan Vincent Collins of Bellport.
EAST PATCHOGUE, NY – A man was killed in a single-car crash on Long Island early Friday.
According to Suffolk Police, the man was driving a Dodge Challenger north on Sills Road, near Hospital Road, in East Patchogue when the car left the roadway and struck a tree at at about. 12:05 a.m.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. His name is being withheld pending verification of identity, police said.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

Jonathan Vincent Collins, 27, of Bellport, has been identified as the man killed in a motor vehicle crash on Sills Road in East Patchogue early this morning.
