  2. A United States Air Force Sergeant Is Trying To Get A Cat From The Middle East To The United States: The sergeant rescued Stan while deployed. He’s now scheduled to return to his home in the Midwest but has no way to get Stan back with him. The sergeant has asked the Smithtown-based rescue organization Guardians of Rescue for help to get Stan to the country. (CBS New York)
  3. A man was shot Tuesday morning by a woman he knew outside of a Coram deli, Suffolk police said. The shooting occurred at approximately 8 a.m. in the parking lot of a small shopping center at 16 Middle Country Road, according to detectives from Suffolk Police's Sixth Squad. The victim was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was admitted in stable condition. (Newsday)
