Coming back for a second run during the holiday season is “MoCA Lights: Merry & Bright.” Featuring projection art on the Patchogue Arts Council Building on Terry Street, Bank of America on Main Street, and the Patchogue-Medford Library.“MoCA Lights Merry & Bright” will be a great immersive art experience for the whole family. Running from Thursday, Dec. 9 to Sunday, Dec. 12, the event will be a village holiday celebration. (LIAdvance)
  2. This year’s Small Business Saturday is slated for Saturday, Nov. 30. Retail chamber members plan to run specials and discounts as a start to the holiday shopping season. Starting at 11 a.m., the chamber will set up a booth outside the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts to promote those deals with a gift bag containing information and coupons for the first 200 participants. As more shoppers buy online this holiday season, customers are being warned about Porch Piracy, when a person takes a package that was not shipped to them before its recipient can pick it up from their porch or building. Package theft is a growing problem across America. The Porch Piracy Act lays out fines and potential prison sentences for those who steal packages, also known as porch pirates. If you're looking for ways to protect your deliveries, here are some tips. (News12)

The Port Jefferson Station-Terryville Chamber of Commerce will host screenings of The Polar Express in the Chamber Train Car, corner of Nesconset Highway and Route 112, Port Jefferson Station on weekends.
