The Patchogue-Medford School District’s 2013-2014 budget passed Tuesday night at the vote canvass at Saxton Middle School.
The budget passed by a vote of 1660 approving to 1312 rejecting.
The $167 million budget is a 2.77 percent increase, and a tax levy increase of around $3 million or 3.17 percent. The proposed budget contains no staff decreases and affords the replacement of Patchogue-Medford High School's track for safety concerns. Teachers are going on a wage freeze for the entire 2013-2014 school year.
