Three South Country School District students volunteered their time to participate in the Village of Bellport’s annual Sept. 11 memorial ceremony. Eighth grader Fayth Williams sang an impressive rendition of the national anthem, while freshmen Aaren Arias and Brian Valand performed taps on trumpet and read a moving poem, respectively. Valand also serves as a junior firefighter with the Bellport Village Fire Department.
