Suffolk Sheriff To Host Free Toy And PJ Giveaway In Yaphank

The office expects to serve hundreds of walk-ins at the Jan. 3 event.

YAPHANK, NY — There will be a toy and pajamas giveaway on Wednesday, Jan. 3, at the Suffolk County Sheriff's START Resource Center in Yaphank.

The free event's organizers — EJ’s PJs, Suffolk County Alliance of Chambers, Helping Makes You Happy, and Toys for Tots — plan to distribute hundreds of new toys and pajamas to deserving children and families in the county.

The START center works with service providers to identify children and families in need throughout Suffolk, including children with incarcerated parents, but additional toys and pajamas will be donated to those who attend on a first-come, first-serve basis.
