Supervisor Romaine, Councilman Loguercio Celebrate Unity Day
The event was July 15 at Robert Rowley Park in Bellport.

On July 15, Supervisor Ed Romaine and Councilman Michael Loguercio celebrated Unity Day at Robert Rowley Park in Bellport. They were joined by Suffolk County elected officials, Suffolk County Police Department officials, members of the District Attorney's office, Girl Scouts, religious leaders, fire department personnel, South Country School District and other community-based organizations. They joined together to welcome residents and families for a day of unity that included vendors, an ice cream truck, food and DJ to make the celebration more fun.

Supervisor Romaine said, “Unity Day in Bellport is a great way to bring people together and I commend Councilman Loguercio for his role in making it happen. It’s important that residents get a chance to meet their elected officials, members of law enforcement, clergy and community leaders up close and personal. It’s a chance for everyone to get to know each other better and make a difference.”

Councilman Loguercio said, "Community unity and pride are so important and today showed both. Thank you to all the agencies who attended and to our community leaders and families who joined in on the celebration. It's through these types of events that we see the magnitude of how many people really do care and support our community.”
