Tappan Zee junior pitcher Paulina Gutkin earned first-team All-State honors in Class A for helping her team to a Section 1 championship.
She was one of five players from Rockland County honored when the New York State Sportswriter's Association released its all-state teams for 2013.
Gutkin was one of two players from Tappan Zee on the list, with shorstop Dee Sinanaj named third-team all-state.
Pearl River pitcher Mandy McCarthy, who was also the top hitter on a team that reached the section championship game, earned fourth-team honors in Class A.
Two players from Clarskstown South earned Class AA honors with pitcher Briana Keaveney on the fifth team and catcher Sara Herskowitz on the seventh team.
