Orangetown, Chase Make Deal For Data Center
A construction field office is already on site.

J.P. Morgan Chase will buy 60 acres from the Town of Orangetown for a new data center, according to the Nyack Free Press. The town owns the parcel at the old Rockland Psychiatric Center.
Town Supervisor Andy Stewart told the Nyack Free Press the bank will be spending $7.5 million for the land, about $40 million to remediate the old buildings, and more to construct the data center. He estimated the total value of the investment at $490 million.
Stewart, who is not seeking relection, described the whole complex process to Bill Demarest of the Nyack Free Press and said that delivering the data center was one of his proudest achievements as supervisor.
