Pearl River Approves School Budget: Election 2024

Here are school budget and board vote results.

PEARL RIVER, NY — Pearl River residents approved a 2024-25 school budget on Tuesday and re-elected two trustees to the Board of Education.

The $87.3 million proposed budget was easily approved. The budget comes with a 3.33 percent tax levy increase in the school tax levy. That is within the state's tax cap for the district so the budget only needed to be approved by a majority vote.

"Our District is committed to a budget that advances our mission to prepare our students for lifelong success while honoring our fiscal responsibility to taxpayers," Pearl River officials said on Instagram.
