Pearl River Girls Soccer Wins Shortened Game
Pearl River defeated Fox Lane, 3-0, Tuesday in a game shortened by darkness.

Amanda DeCourcey scored two goals to lead Pearl River in a 3-0 victory at home against Fox Lane Tuesday.
Annie White scored off an assist by Marissa Scognamiglio and got the assist on one of DeCourcey's goals for the Pirates, who completed their regular season with a 13-1-2 record.
Pearl River goalie Lauren Gallagher made eight saves in the contest, which was shortened by 15 minutes due to darkness. Fox Lane goalie Katherine Burbank made 13 saves.

DeCourcey started the scoring 1:14, knocking the ball in after a corner kick bounced off a defender.
Pearl River moved Annie White to midfield for the second half. She beat two defenders and took a shot that DeCourcey deflected in for a 2-0 Pirates lead at the 10:46 mark of the second half. Scognamiglio sent a cross to White for a one-timer that pushed Pearl River's lead to 3-0.

The Section 1 playoff pairings meeting is scheduled for Thursday morning. Pearl River will most likely open the playoffs at home Saturday.
