Pearl River Pastor Shares Christmas Message
St. Stephens Episcopal Church Pastor Susan Fortunato shared these thoughts on Christmas.

Pastor Susan Fortunato of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Pearl River shared this Christmas message with Patch readers.
"Throughout the years many gifts have been given through this simple Christmas story -- the triumph of human love over difficult circumstances, the unselfish love of God for all creation, the inherent sacredness of all human beings," Fortunato wrote. "They are all timely lessons, and each one offers a window into faith. As you contemplate the Christmas tree, enjoy the warmth of your family and the beautiful decorations all around town, I commend you to take just a moment to reach out to those around you in need and recall that it was to such as these that God chose to be born."
Last year, Good Shepherd Church Pastor John Havrilla offered his thoughts on the holiday in this letter to the editor.
