Pearl River Sports: Baseball Wins Again, Degnan on All-State List
The Pearl River baseball team beat Nyack and Kevin Degnan was named ninth-team boys basketball all-state Thursday.
The New York State Sportswriters Association named Pearl River junior forward Kevin Degnan ninth-team all-state in Class A boys basketball for 2012-13.
The NYSSWA released its all-state list Thursday.
Degnan was one of only five players from Rockland County, three of them in Class A. Albertus Magnus senior guard Jack Sullivan made the second team in Class A and Tappan Zee senior point guard Joe Letizia garnered honorable mention.

Degnan emerged as one of the top players in Section 1 Class A as a junior, averaging 24 points and 11 rebounds per contest.

- Baseball: -- In addition to pitching a complete game, John Doherty doubled twice and drove in four runs for the Pirates as they won their third game in a row.
- Golf: -- Ciaran Hennessy and Conor Campbell each shot a team-low 42 for the Pirates.
