
Senior Brian Cook ran the fastest overall time and Pearl River finished fifth in the championship section at the Queensbury Cross Country Invitational in Queensbury, NY Saturday.
Cook outpaced some of the top runners in the state with a time of 15:17.95. Tappan Zee junior Luke Gavigan finished fifth overall in 15:38.59. Pearl River junior Ben McDermott was 24th with a time of 16:26.88.
Liverpool won the team championship, edging out Saratoga Springs. North Rockland was fourth and Tappan Zee came in sixth.
