Due to heavy rainfall in the area, the National Weather issued a flash food warning Rockland County and the surrounding area until 11:30 a.m. Monday and a flood watch until 10 p.m.
With a warning, some flooding is expected near creeks and streams and in low-lying places. Among precautions to be taken is avoiding driving through spots where water covers the road because the water may be too deep to get through. Though the warning ends Monday morning,there is a chance of more heavy rain and further flooding throughout the day.
