Summer Theater Near Pearl River
When the play's the thing you're after, you won't have to travel far.

PEARL RIVER, NY—Want to add some drama—or comedy—to your summer calendar? The Hudson Valley offers a slate of theatrical performances, a few of which are performed outdoors. On a sunny summer day, a theater performance can be a good excuse for a day trip that also allows you to explore neighboring towns.

Suffern
The 20th season of Rockland Shakespeare Company Presents 20th Season, begins July 7 and runs through July 23 at 145 College Road, Suffern. Shows are free and open to the public. This season’s exciting repertory
performances are: a traditional presentation of Othello, a modern version of The Winter’s Tale, and a fun extraterrestrial (ET) themed version of Othello – titled "EThello."

Woodstock

Croton-on-Hudson

The Chappaqua Performing Arts Center will have eight different Broadway themed workshop weeks for kids, aged 5 to 15, ending in performances of such Broadway hits as "Beauty and the Beast," "The Sound of Music," "Seussical," "Peter Pan," and "The Little Mermaid," performed by workshop students. The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival will present several plays this summer, including 'Pride and Prejudice," "Twelfth Night," "The Book of Will" and "Love's Labour Lost."
