2. Ask a Question

Looking for the best coffee in town? Not sure when garbage is collected? Visit our Q&A section and call on your neighbors for some local advice. You can answer other residents' questions on the page, too.

3. Post an Event

Do you know about a local band's performance or a book signing coming up? Is there an awards ceremony or cooking class on the horizon? If it's not on our Events Calendar, it should be. Add your events to Patch here.

4. Post an Announcement

Brag a little to to the neighbors – post births, engagements and promotions on our Announcements page. Tell us who made the honor roll, share sports recognitions and publicly thank the volunteers who made your fundraiser a success. If you're looking for volunteers or searching for your lost dog, call on your community for help. Just keep in mind announcements are for personal use, not advertising.

5. Sign Up for Newsletters

Our daily newsletter will arrive in your inbox at 6 a.m. every morning. Featuring all of the stories and announcements from the last 24 hours, it's a great way to catch up on local buzz in a hurry. You can also sign up for the weekly newsletter, which is delivered at 10 a.m. each Thursday. The weekly newsletter features a subset of the content featured on the site over the past few days. To sign up for the newsletters, as well as breaking news alerts, look for the green box labeled "Your Newsletter Settings" on the right side of the page.

6. Claim Your Directory Listing

The Pearl Patch Directory is a comprehensive and up-to-date collection of listings for all of the area's businesses. We have contact information, photos and hours of operation for restaurants, schools, parks, government establishments and more. Search our Directory and add your own media to the listing for your business. To contact us about the listing for your business or organization, email us at directorysupport@patch.com.

7. Write a Restaurant Review

Were you the first to check out the newest eatery in town? Let the community know how it was by posting a review. Search our directory of restaurants here. You can also use the directory to find somewhere to eat based on type of cuisine, price level or features like a kids' menu or outdoor seating.

8. Volunteer

Do you need volunteers to help organize a food drive? Are you looking for ways to give back to the community? Patch wants to help. Visit our volunteer page to post or search for opportunities, and learn more about Patch's commitment to volunteerism and our Give 5 program.

9. Upload Photos and Videos

Did you get a great shot of your son's game-winning goal or a video of your daughter's outstanding violin solo? You can easily upload your own to Patch articles, events and announcements. Share your memories from community events with the entire Patch readership.
