3 Peekskill Residents Accused Of Selling Alcohol To Minor

CORTLANDT, NY — Four people were arrested during an underage drinking initiative conducted by police in the greater Cortlandt area.

The New York State Police from Troop K said 17 retail establishments were checked for compliance using a trooper in plainclothes and an underage operative with a valid New York driver’s license.

Thirteen of the businesses were in compliance and refused to sell any alcoholic beverages to the underage operative.

Four businesses illegally sold alcohol to a minor resulting in four arrests.

Alexandra Chabla, 30, Peekskill, employed at Lou’s Corner Store in Cortlandt Manor, was issued an appearance ticket for prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage, a misdemeanor, returnable to the Town of Cortlandt Court on Feb. 27.

Kelly Soliz, 19, of Peekskill, employed at ShopRite in Cortlandt, was issued an appearance ticket for prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage, a misdemeanor, returnable to the Town of Cortlandt Court on Feb. 27.

Diana Garcie, 25, of Peekskill, employed at the Mobil station in Cortlandt Manor, was issued an appearance ticket for prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage, a misdemeanor, returnable to the Town of Cortlandt Court on Feb. 27.

Avery Douglas, 19, of Beacon, employed at Appalachian Market in Garrison, was issued an appearance ticket for prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage, a misdemeanor, returnable to the Town of Philipstown Court on March 8.

The New York State Police said it routinely conducts underage drinking enforcement operations throughout the state in an effort to curb alcohol abuse and DWI incidents involving teenagers.
