The City of Peekskill would like its residents to know some streets will be closed for the today from 10 a.m. to around 12 p.m. Washington Street and some ancillary roads will be closed sporadically during that time between Welcher Avenue and South Street to allow for the participating runners and walkers.
Register to be a part of the Peekskill American Legions 5K Walk/Run for Heroes this Saturday for $20. All proceeds will go to Operation Comfort Warriors. There will be a BBQ at the legion hall following the event and each participant will receive a t-shirt.
Donations in any amount or sponsorship of runner or walkers is appreciated and should be mailed to American Legion Post 274 at PO Box 21, 936 Mckinley Street, Peekskill, N.Y.10566 Notation 5k run for heroes.
