Artists' Ethics, EMBARK Spring Registration and Sign Ups for the Cortlandt Cowboys

1.) Sign Up for EMBARK's Spring Classes 2013

EMBARK, located on the first floor of the Energy Movement Center in Peekskill, is holding registration of its spring classes. EMBARK offers a number of classes including movement, ballet, jazz, acting for teens and playwriting. Find out more information here.

2.) Art And Ethics For Artists And Graphic Designers WIth Eileen MacAvery Kane

Eileen MacAvery Kane is giving a talk tonight at the  Westchester Community College Peekskill Extension, located at  27 N. Division St., on the the rules that pertain to visual art and design; including copyright law, piracy, plagiarism, fair use, and photo manipulation. She will address topics including: spec work, crowdsourcing, and responsibility to clients. Kane is a photographer, graphic designer, educator and the author of “Ethics: A Graphic Designer’s Field Guide”, 2010 and the blog ethicsingraphicdesign.org. The talk is scheduled to begin 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and all enrolled students, but reservations are required. Email  peekskill@sunywcc.edu to reserve a seat.

3.)  Matinee Movie: "Robot and Frank"

The Hendrick Hudson Free Library, located on 185 Kings Ferry Rd. in Montrose, is showing "Robot and Frank" from 1:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. today as part of its matinee film series. The event is free. Call (914) 739-5654.

4.) Caregiver Support Group with Leave the Light on Foundation

The Leave the Light on Foundation, a group of former caregivers who have joined together to help current caregivers in need of support, is meeting today at 6 p.m. at the Hudson Valley Hospital Center. The hospital is located at 1980 Crompond Rd. in Cortlandt Manor. 5.) Cortlandt Cowboys Youth Football & Cheer Live Registration Friday

Registration for the Cortlandt Cowboys’ 2013-2014 season is now open.  Visit their Web site here  for registration forms, which can be mailed in or submitted at our Friday’s live registration at Mia Pizzeria in the Cortlandt Town Square, next to the movie theater, from 6-8 pm. The Cortlandt Cowboys Youth Football & Cheer Association is the newest member of the Westchester Youth Football League. WYFBL is officially recognized as part of the Big East Conference of American Youth Football & Cheer, the world's largest youth football and youth cheer program.
