Assault with Chair; Man Swallows Crack; Methadone; Fake Ids

Cops See Man Swallow Crack Rock

Police arrested Kevin Francis, a 45-year-old Peekskill resident after observing him swallow a rock of crack cocaine on Feb. 23 at 1 a.m. Francis, who was operating a motor vehicle, was stopped on the 1200 block of Park St. after being involved in a drug transaction on the 800 block of Main St. Upon investigation, Officer Dan Labodin observed a rock of crack cocaine in Francis’ mouth. Francis swallowed the cocaine when instructed to spit it out and was subsequently taken into custody. He was found with an additional small quantity of crack cocaine on his person and also found to be operating the vehicle without a court ordered ignition interlock device due to a DWI conviction. Francis was arrested for seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; tampering with physical evidence, a misdemeanor and operating a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock device, a violation. He was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court without bail.

Man Turns Himself in for Assault with a Chair

Police arrested 44-year-old Peekskill resident Michael Dolan on Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. after he turned himself in for assaulting an individual with a chair. The incident occurred on Feb. 8 on Hudson Avenue and Dolan turned himself in after learning police were looking for him. He was charged with second-degree assault, a felony, at police headquarters. He was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.

In Possession of Methadone

Jason Calabrese, 41, of Peekskill, was charged with felony and misdemeanor drug charged on Feb. 22 at 4:55 p.m. after Officer Matt Basso observed him engaged in a drug transaction on the 10 Block of Welcher Ave. After a subsequent investigation, Calabrese was found to be in possession of a quantity of Methadone. He was charged with fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He was taken into custody and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail. The second individual involved in the transaction was unable to be located.

Peekskill Man Caught with Three Fraudulent Identifications

Officers working Anti-Crime patrol observed Rolando Villa, a 33-year-old Peekskill resident, in possession of an open container of alcohol, a violation of the Peekskill City Code, on Maplewood Ave. on Feb. 22 at 10:40 p.m. While investigating, Villa provided the officers with three pieces of identification that upon closer inspection were found to be fraudulent (Driver’s License, Social Security Card, Resident Alien Identification Card). Villa was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, a misdemeanor; and possession of an open container of alcohol, a violation. He was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.

Garrison Resident Arrested for Morphine

On Feb. 25 at 5:55 p.m. Garrison resident Shannon Bushell, 40, was arrested for third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony. Officers working Anti-Crime patrol stopped Bushell for a minor traffic violation and observed her in possession of an open container of alcohol in the vehicle on the 100 block of N. Division Street. Bushell was taken into custody for the open container and incidental to her arrest 50 tablets of Morphine were recovered from her person. Bushell was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court without bail.
