Astorino Gives State of the County, Peekskill School Board Meets

Five things you should know for today, April 23.

1.) Robert Astorino to Give State of the County

Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino is scheduled to give his state of the county address tonight at 7 p.m. inside the county courthouse's central jury room. The courthouse is located at 111 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in White Plains. The address will be televised live on News 12.

2.) Peekskill School Board Meets Tonight

The Peekskill school board is scheduled to have a special meeting tonight at the district administration building, located 1031 Elm St. in Peekskill. The public portion of the meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. An agenda is available here.  

3.) The Bear Mountain Bridge - The Jewel of the Hudson

Photographer and author, Walter Rabetz, will speak about the Bear Mountain Bridge and his book, The Bear Mountain Bridge – The Jewel of the Hudson, at 7 p.m. tonight inside the Hendrick Hudson Library, located at  185 Kings Ferry Rd, Montrose.  Photographing the bridge and views from the bridge at all hours of the day, Rabetz devoted four years to the extraordinary grandeur of the Hudson River and Bear Mountain Bridge.  Books will be available for purchase and signing.  Call (914)739-5654 to register.

4.) Hudson River Toastmasters Meets Tonight

5.) Sign Up for EMBARK's Spring Classes 2013
