Cortlandt Announces Earth Day Hike and Shredding Day
The hike is scheduled to take place Saturday, April 16. The mobile shredder will be in the town hall parking lot on Friday, April 22.

Cortlandt residents are invited to discover the beauty of their town in a celebration of Earth Day on Saturday, April 16. The town will host an Earth Day hike at Croton Point Park. Participants will meet at the pavilion, and the hike will begin at 9 a.m. It will run for approximately two hours and is expected to be of moderate difficulty. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants must dress appropriately, and the hike, sponsored by town's Green Team, will be held rain or shine. Advance signup is recommended, but it is not required. Interested individuals must contact the supervisor's office via (914) 734-1002 or email JudiP@townofcortlandt.com for further detail.
Additionally, the Westchester County Mobile Shredder will be stationed in the town hall parking lot, located at 1 Heady St., on Friday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Further information is available through the Mobile Shredder website.
