Cortlandt Supervisor: Town Taxes Have Stayed Low for 22 Years
Property taxes in the Town of Cortlandt by a little more than $334 during the past 22 years.

If you have resided in Cortlandt or operated a business in our town, your town taxes have only been raised this amount for the entire 22 years of this administration. (1992 – 2013)

Town Taxes (only 11% of your total annual tax bill):

- If you are in the Town of Cortlandt the total dollar amount increase for the average assessed property for the 22 years has been $334.13.
- If you are in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson the total dollar amount increase for the average assessed property for 22 years has been $38.32.
- If you are in the Village of Buchanan the total dollar amount increase for the average assessed property for 22 years has been $14.09
Note:
- 15 percent of the annual tax bill is county taxes
- 69 percent of the annual Tax Bill is School Taxes
- 5 percent of the annual Tax Bill is Special District Taxes (library, fire districts, sidewalk or street lighting districts, etc.)Â
