 1. City to Meet with Home Owner Associations to Collect Garbage Fees

On March 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. in City Hall the city will hold a meeting with all Home Owner Associations and property managers to discuss a new proposed garbage collection fee. “Our intent is to lay out all the information to explain where we started, where we are and where we are trying to go,” Mayor Mary Foster said. 3. Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce Scholarships

The Scholarship Committee of the HVGCC as announced the availability of six $1,000 scholarships for graduating seniors from Croton-Harmon, Hendrick Hudson, Lakeland, Peekskill, Putnam Valley and Walter Panas High Schools.  The six schools are in the service area of the Gateway Chamber and there is only one scholarship recipient per school.

 4. Hen Hud Easter Basket Stuffing

The Hen Hud Lions are sponsoring an Easter Egg Stuffing Party at 6 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Hall in Verplanck tonight. They have to stuff 5,000 Easter eggs for the hunt on Sunday and can use all the helping hands they can get. 

5. Sun and Wind

The National Weather Service forecasts a cloudy morning with a gradual clearing by mid-day with a high near 58. Wind guests may get as high as 29 mph. Tonight should be mostly clear with a low near 31 and slower wind, between 5 and 10 mph.
