Entergy Accepting Applications from First Responders for Funding
First responders can apply for grant funding for help with training and equipment from Entergy.

This information was released by Entergy on March 15: Entergy announced they are accepting applications for funding through their Safety Responders Fund. The has awarded more than $1 million to local fire, police, emergency medical response and other emergency management organizations since the program’s inception in 2009.
“This program, dedicated for local responders and emergency personnel in our surrounding communities, has been greatly received and appreciated by all those it has helped,” said John Ventosa, site vice president and Entergy’s top official at Indian Point.
The grant program is designed to help fund training and equipment purchases for first responders in the vicinity of Indian Point. Fifty-three separate applications have been approved for funding through the program to date.
