An open house and general meeting is scheduled at the Van Cortlandtville Historical Society Saturday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m.
The speaker will be veteran girl scout leader Pauline Hansen. She will be speaking on "100 Years of Girl Scouting in the Heartof the Hudson."

Attired in a 1014 Khaki girl scouts uniform, Mrs. Hansen will focus on the Girl Scouts of the USA founder, Juliette Gorden Low, and highlight the history and community activities of the girl scouts in the local area. A vintage 1918 film depicting the very early days of scouting will be featured.
