The popular Peekskill farmer’s market will open this Saturday with a few new vendors offering fresh meats and cheeses. Read about what you can find there . The market is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Bank Street.

Although the Grand Central holiday market does not open for months, they are seeking vendors to participate in the popular shopping event now. 3. State Troopers Issue Thousands of Tickets Through Click It or Ticket Campaign

New York State Troopers issued 1125 tickets for violations of the state’s mandatory seatbelt laws during the May 21 – June 3 “click it or ticket” enforcement effort. During the zero tolerance enforcement campaign, troopers joined with local police and sheriffs’ departments statewide to encourage seatbelt use in advance of the summer travel season.
In addition to the 1125 safety restraint tickets issued by members of Troop K, troopers arrested 60 people for driving while intoxicated and ticketed 899 drivers for speeding.
