Funeral services for Terry Camper are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Friday inside the United Methodist Church in Peekskill.

The funeral for the victim of last week’s murder plot is scheduled to take place Friday at the United Methodist Church in Peekskill, according to his obituary in the Times Herald Record.
Terry Camper, 53, of Peekskill, was killed last week by John Murray, 60, of Newburgh, according to police. Peekskill police said that Murray and the victim’s wife, 60-year-old Beatrice Camper, planned the murder. The Murray and Beatrice Camper allegedly committed the crime in order to profit off of insurance policy that Beatrice Camper had taken out on the Tarry Camper.
Camper’s obituary states that he graduated from Peekskill High School in 1978 and worked at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Montrose. He also had a side business as taxi-driver.
He is survived by his mother, a son, three brothers, four sisters and two grandsons.
Camper was held in high regard by the community as evidenced by the number of people who have mourned him the past week. A Facebook page was recently created in his honor and people continue to grieve on it.
Camper’s wake is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by funeral services. The burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Cortlandt.
