1.) Peekskill Common Council Passes Retirement Incentive Program
The City of Peekskill approved a retirement incentive program for its employee during Monday's meeting. Officials approved the program to help cope with the layoffs proposed in the city manager's $35.6 million spending. The spending plan would cut 31 full-time jobs.

3.) Halloween Fun in the City of Peekskill

The City of Peekskill Recreation Department is hosting the Pumpkin Design & Hayride today at 4 p.m., at the he Depew Park Bandstand. The fun starts at 4 pm. Paint, markers and glue will be provided. The event cost $5 and pre-registration is required. Call (914) 734-7275 for more information.
4.) County Executive to Hold Town Hall in Cortlandt
Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino is holding a town hall meeting at Cortlandt town hall Wednesday, Oct. 24.at 7 p.m. Astorino will give an update on the progress his administration is making in delivering on his three major goals: providing tax relief, preserving essential services and promoting economic development. Town hall is located at 1 Heady St., Cortlandt Manor.
5.) Storm Drain Work Scheduled in the City of Peekskill
The City of Peekskill Public Works Department announced Monday that work on the storm drainage system will begin on Friday. There will be excavation along with the replacement of manhole structures and pipe in at least five different areas on Harrison Avenue, from Phoenix to Pemart avenues. The work is expected to last about three weeks.
