The following is a press release from the : The Hendrick Hudson School District is excited to announce the formation of the Lower Hudson Valley STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Hub.

The Empire STEM Learning Network, a statewide, community-led collaborative, is driving the formation of interconnected regional STEM hubs across the state with the common goal of advancing STEM education to prepare all students – regardless of their career goals – for college and career success.

STEM hubs have already been formed across the state.  A STEM Hub for the Lower Hudson Valley is currently in its infancy, with the following members:  IBM, Beacon Institute, Mohonk Preserve, the Hendrick Hudson School District, and SUNY’s Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Community Colleges and Education Pipeline, which serves as the statewide office of Empire STEM.  We met most recently at IBM in Poughkeepsie, with the outcome being a commitment by all parties to move forward.
