Hen Hud High School Teacher On Leave of Absence
Hendrick Hudson High School Teacher Tom Oliva is on a leave of absence as of Feb. 17.

In a Feb. 18 email to parents and students, Hendrick Hudson High School Principal James L. Macken stated that high school teacher Tom Oliva will be on a leave of absence, effective Feb. 17. Mackin wrote that the district would be looking for a long-term substitute for Oliva to continue the semester.
Mackin wrote:
“Please know that providing your child with the best instruction available is our top priority. The District will endeavor to engage a long-term substitute to continue the semester with your children. For the short-term, a substitute teacher will be using instructional materials provided by Mr. Oliva to ensure classes stay on track.”
Mackin added that he will answer questions regarding Oliva’s leave of absence to the extent that he is able.
