Homicides, Paramount Hiatus and Fire Grille Grand Opening

1) Peekskill Police Look for Leads in Homicide Investigation

The Peekskill police department are looking for leads in the shooting death of a 53-year-old City of Peekskill man Wednesday afternoon. A reward of up to $2,500 has been offered by the New York State Crime Stoppers for  information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the man’s death.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-TIPS or the City of Peekskill Police Department at 914-737-8000.

2.) Paramount Theater Suspends Operations

The board of directors for the Paramount Center for the Arts announced Wednesday activities are being suspended at the theater so officials can ‘explore opportunities to reorganize.’ You can read the board’s statement here.

3.) Peekskill Train Station Down for Repairs

The elevators at the Peekskill Train Station will be taken out of service for replacement starting today, until to Nov . 17. ADA ramps will remain in service at all times for customer use.

Voters got their first chance Wednesday night to see President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney on the same stage as the first of three 2012 presidential debates kicked off in Denver.
