Hundreds March on Peekskill City Hall
Union members and their support converged on Peekskill city hall this evening to protest layoffs in the acting City Manager Brian Havranek's $35.6 million budget proposal.
Union and community members gathered outside of Peekskill city hall this evening to protest the layoffs included in acting City Manager Brian Havaranek’s $35.6 budget proposal.
A large crowd of union members wearing red shirts met outside of the Field Library on Nelson Avenue to protest the cutting of 31 full-time and nine part-time positions that would be enacted in Havranek’s proposal. In all, more than 200 people gathered for the protest.
