Accused Drunk Driver Crashes into Peekskill Police Car

Accused Drunk Driver Crashes into Police Car
Peekskill police arrested 36-year-old Peekskill man, Raul Delgado, after he crossed into the oncoming traffic lane on Washington Street and struck a City of Peeksill police vehicle being driven by Officer Greg Jones. Jones and Delgado suffered minor injuries and were transported to the Hudson Valley Hospital Center for treatment. Delgado was found to be operating while intoxicated and without a license and subsequently charged. Delgado was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court following his discharge from the hospital. The accident occurred on May 29 at 8:30 a.m. on the 400 block of Washington Street.

Accused Drunk Driver Crashed into Utility Pole, Snapping it in Half
A drunk driver struck a utility pole on the corner of Washinton Street and Sherman Avenue, causing it to snap in half on June 2 at 11:35 p.m., Peekskill police report. The dirver, 39-year-old Peekskill resident James Rehak and two other passengers in the vehicle were uninjured. Rehak was determined to be operating his vehicle while intoxicated following an investigation by Officer Agovino and subsequently placed under arrest. He was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear in Peekskill City Court on June 18th at 11 a.m.
