Leap Year, Beard Bash, Taxi Ordinance Public Hearing

1. Beard Bash

The will present the Winning Winter Whiskers at a party at the from 5 to 8 p.m. There is a $20 donation at the door and all proceeds go to the Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Comprehensive Cancer Center. The event features beer, wine and hors d’oevres, plus music by Tim Murphy, raffles and prizes!

2. Hearing on Taxi Ordinance

The City of Peekskill will hold a public hearing regarding raising the liability limit on taxis. Read Anthony Bazzo, a local taxi company owner’s opposition to the proposal in his Letter to the Editor .

3. Duane Jackson Announces Candidacy

Duane Jackson, “the Times Square hero” will announce his candidacy for New York’s 19^th Congressional District at 11 a.m. at Village of Buchanan City Hall. Read more here.

The Cortlandt Town Board will hold a work session at 7 p.m. in Town Hall.
