Lifelong Verplanck Resident Dies at 70

Gerald "Dyck" Dyckman, a lifelong Verplanck resident, died Saturday at the age of 70. He was surrounded by family members.

That's according to his obituary, which is available here through the Cortlandt Funeral Home.

Dyckman worked as a teamster in Local 456. He also was a member of the Verplanck Fire Department for nearly five decades.

He is survived by several family members, including his wife, children and grandchildren. 

Reposing is scheduled for Wednesday (Dec. 18) and Thursday (Dec. 19), with a Mass slated for Friday (Dec. 20). View the obituary for more details.
