Meetings Scheduled In Peekskill, Cortlandt For Coming Week

The meetings are for the week beginning Feb. 6.

PEEKSKILL-CORTLANDT, NY — Here’s a look ahead at public meetings scheduled for the week of Jan. 16.

In Peekskill, the Committee of the Whole is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6.

The agenda, which can be viewed along with supporting documents here, includes financing and purchase for a police vehicle, amending Juneteenth Parade route, cellular antenna application by Dish Network, setting a public hearing for C3 zoning amendment, parade permit for St. Patrick’s Day Parade and an executive session on matters concerning proposed, pending or current litigation and matters concerning personnel.

Executive sessions are closed to the public.

Peekskill City Hall is at 840 Main St. in Peekskill.

The Peekskill Planning Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8.

The agenda, which can be found here, includes public hearings on final site plan approval for construction of a one-and-a-half bay garage with solar panel and electric vehicle charging station at 2 Kossuth Place and on a waiver from façade requirements and final site plan approval for the proposed conversion of an existing one-story commercial office for use as a three-bedroom single-family residence at 325 Nelson Ave.

The meeting will be held in Council Chambers at City Hall, 840 Main St. in Peekskill.


In Cortlandt, there will be a Town Board Work Session at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6.

The agenda, which can be found here, includes a review of the draft agenda for the Feb. 14 Town Board meeting, review of any other topics and executive session for legal or personnel matters, if necessary.

Executive sessions are not open to the public.

The meeting will be held at Town Hall, 1 Heady St. in Cortlandt Manor.

There will also be a Cortlandt Planning Board meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7.

The agenda, which can be found here, includes the application of the Gurdjieff Foundation of New York for the property of the Danish Home for the Aged for site plan approval and a special permit for a non-school curriculum program use for 1065 Quaker Bridge Rd. East, a public hearing for a proposed accessory apartment at 285 Furnace Dock Rd. and an application from Hudson Ridge Wellness Center for site development plan approval and special permit for a hospital at the former Hudson Institute property for a facility to treat people with chemical dependencies at 2016 Quaker Ridge.

The meeting will be at Town Hall, 1 Heady St. in Cortlandt Manor.
