Description: Registration for the Cortlandt Cowboys’ 2013-2014 season is now open. Visit their Web site here for registration forms, which can be mailed in or submitted at our Friday’s live registration at Mia Pizzeria in the Cortlandt Town Square, next to the movie theater, from 6-8 pm. The Cortlandt Cowboys Youth Football & Cheer Association is the newest member of the Westchester Youth Football League. WYFBL is officially recognized as part of the Big East Conference of American Youth Football & Cheer, the world's largest youth football and youth cheer program.

Peekskill: Myles Mancuso Band at The BeanRunner Cafe

Description: Noted by True Fire as one of the Top 10 Guitar Prodigies in the World, Myles Mancuso has been performing professionally for audiences since the age of 10. In 2012 he was awarded for his outstanding musicianship at the Berklee College of Music in Boston Ma. He has performed at BB Kings, The Cutting Room, Tera Blues, The Iridium Jazz Club, The Bitter End, Kenny's Castaways and others. His band has opened for Levon Helm, Buddy Guy and Derek Trucks and his band has performed at festivals such as Mountain Jam, the Sarasota Blues Fest and NY State Blues Fest and Gathering of the Vibes in 2012.
Cortlandt: Cortlandt Earth Day Event
Where: Hudson Highlands Gateway Park, located across the softball fields on Sprout Brook Road.
When: Saturday, April 13. The Family Hike is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the Adult Hike is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Peekskill: Dance Improv Workshop at EMBARK

Description: Youth ages 10 through 18 are invited to participate in a series of jazz dance improvisation workshops with Dance Theater of Harlem teaching artist Andrea Elam. This is a great opportunity to learn some dance moves, and then create some of your own! All workshops are free, and a you can come for just one, or as many as you like. Participants will be invited to dance in a final performance on June 8 at 7:30pm with Andrea Elam and master jazz musican Ray Blue!

Description: Embark's Second Saturday Series is hosting The Original Brothers Production of "Spring into Laughter Comedy Show," featuring Mike Troy, aka 'Brooklyn Mike'; Phil Selman; and Hamburger Alonzo Jones. Description:Saxophonist Eric Person is setting a new standard in sound and his band Meta-Four is nothing short of dynamic. For over twenty years, Eric has been committed to composing, recording and performing contemporary American music. He plays the alto and soprano sax and the flute and is featured as a leader and sideman on more than 30 recordings. His broad range of experience with Dave Holland, McCoy Tyner, Chico Hamilton, Ronald Shannon Jackson, the World Saxophone Quartet, and John Hicks, have all contributed greatly to his mature alto and soprano sound and his skills as an arranger and composer. His newest CD, "Thoughts On God" has received rave reviews and John Murphy, of Downbeat Magazine, gives it 4 ½ stars.

Bedford: The Pound Ridge Theatre Company Presents 'Doubt: A Parable'

Description: Organizers describe this production as a "powerful and disturbing tale of a conflict of wills" between a Catholic school priest who supports progressive thought and the principal, who suspects the former has been abusing a student. Croton: Croton Teen Theatre Inc. announces the return of Broadway on Hudson!

Description: April 12, 2013 will mark the return of Broadway on Hudson, an evening of music and merriment featuring Broadway professionals as well as alumni and current members of Croton Teen Theatre, Inc. The Broadway on Hudson fundraiser will be held at St. Augustine's Episcopal Church on Friday, April 12th at 7pm and followed by a wine & cheese reception. Description: This event is a great opportunity to introduce youngsters to doctors and the hospital, and create a happy memory in case they ever have to visit during an emergency. Southeast: VFW Breakfast Fundraiser

Description: Folks can show their support for the veterans while enjoying tons of breakfast items, from sausage to eggs to waffles and more. The food will be plentiful and the company more than pleasant!
Tarrytown: Help Save a Life – a Tag Sale Fundraiser
Where: Reformed Church of the Tarrytowns, 42 N Broadway, Tarrytown

Description: Tarrytown’s EFIA international language students have gathered in support of a Russian child with leukemia whose parents cannot afford the surgery that might save his life. This special fundraiser will feature international food, music and items up for sale including clothing, books, accessories and more. The students are also accepting donated items leading up to the sale, which can be dropped off on the second floor of the church within their business hours.
Yorktown: 'Spamalot' Comes to Town

Yorktown: Beer Brewing 101

Description: The workshop is taught by the Westchester Homebrewers Organization. Learn how to brew batches of your favorite beer in the comfort of your own kitchen.
