Oakside Elementary Presents 'The Lion and the Mouse'

Release from Andrea Elam: Andrea Elam, dance teaching artist for Dance Theater of Harlem and director of Synapses Dance Ensemble Peekskill, presents the third grade children of the in an original dance piece based upon Jerry Pinkney’s story of “The Lion and the Mouse”. 

Thanks to the generosity of the Paramount Center, The Peekskill Education Foundation and ArtsWestchester, 246 children in the 3^rd grade are being given the opportunity to perform their dance onstage as part of a concert with Ms. Elam and her student dance company, Synapses Dance.  Come enjoy an affordable and inspiring evening of dance while promoting arts in education in our community!
