Ossining's Tripodi Announces Bid to Challenge Borgia for County Legislator Seat.
The Ossining Town Councilman, a Republican, hopes to unseat Catherine Borgia for District 9 of the Westchester County Board of Legislators. District 9 includes all or parts of Ossining, Croton-on-Hudson, Briarcliff Manor, Cortlandt and Peekskill.

Town of Ossining Councilman Peter Tripodi announced today he plans to challenge Catherine Borgia (D-Ossining), who represents District 9 in the Westchester County Board of Legislators.
He stated, "We need less party politics and a more results-driven government. As the only elected Republican on the 5 member Ossining Town Board I have participated in bi-partisan government. I know the meaning of consensus-building, spirited and healthy debate, as well as meaningful solutions to get things done.”

Tripodi, a Republican, plans to officially announce his candidacy Saturday in front of the former Town of Ossining police station on North State Road.
"The announcement’s location alone symbolizes this campaign—bipartisan and sound government actions," he said in a statement. "The decision to sell that facility was made only after the exit of my opponent from the Town Board. This was a bipartisan solution that directly benefited the Town taxpayers."
