Bomb Threat Forces Evacuation Of Peekskill City Court
City officials said the threat was investigated by K-9 units from Peekskill and Westchester County.

PEEKSKILL, NY — A bomb threat at the Peekskill City Court forced the temporary evacuation of the court Monday.
The City of Peekskill Police Department said it was notified at 10:16 a.m. Monday of the threat.
Peekskill police officers, with the help of New York State Court officers, immediately evacuated the facility.

Shortly thereafter, the Peekskill police K-9 unit, along with the Westchester County Police K-9 units, conducted a sweep of the building, as well as the surrounding area.
Around 11:30 a.m., the area was deemed safe and personnel returned to the facility.

Peekskill police detectives are actively investigating the incident.
