Peekskill Man Stabbed in the Back on Washington Street
Police say the victim will not cooperate.

Peekskill police have confirmed that a 20-year-old Peekskill man was stabbed in the back around 1:55 a.m. Saturday morning. The victim, who is now at Westchester Medical Center with injuries not believed to be life threatening, has refused to cooperate with the Peekskill police department, Lt. Eric Johansen said.
Around 1:55 a.m. police got a call from a resident reporting an altercation involving several males at 807 Washington Street in the Dollar General parking lot. Police responded and found the stabbing victim and another witness in front of 750 Washington Street, neither of whom would cooperate with police.
“It is very difficult to put together any case or investigation without a cooperative victim,” Johansen said. “It is disturbing when you have a victim of a violent crime who refuses to cooperate with the police.”
