A 32-year-old Peekskill resident has been arrested in connection with the assault of a 23-year-man who was found on North Division Street, bleeding from facial injuries, according to police.
Neftali Martinez is facing a felony charge of second-degree assault. Det. Marcos Martinez determined that he is an acquaintance of the victim, who was found around 4:10 a.m. May 19 in the 200 block of North Division Street, officials said in a statement released Tuesday.
The victim was transported to the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla for treatment.
The defendant was arrested May 20 without incident. He was held pending arraignment.
