Kosilla allegedly went to a house located a short distance from her own residence at about 4:30 a.m., stole a piece of material from the building and some items from the basement. Police did not say what was stolen.
The homeowner told police they heard some noises, but they didn’t realize the thefts had occurred until a few hours later.
After a brief investigation, Detective John Bennett was able to track down Kosilla and the stolen property, according to police.
Police said hours before the burglary occurred, police said they met Kosilla at her residence for a domestic incident. Police said Kosilla’s boyfriend was arrested for third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, during that incident.
Kosilla allegedly committed the burglary to try and replace an item that was damaged during the altercation with her boyfriend.
Police did not say if Kosilla was under the influence of drugs at the time she committed the burglary.
Kosilla was arraigned and is currently being held in Westchester County Jail without bail.
