Peekskill's EMBARK to Celebrate National Poetry Month on April 27
The event will feature readings from local poets such as Ron Egatz and Ibrahim Asad Siddiq, as well as an open mic.

A celebration of National Poetry Month sponsored by EMBARK|Peekskill will take place on Saturday, April 27, from 4p.m. to 7p.m. at EMBARK@EMC located on the first floor of Energy Movement Center at 925 South Street in Peekskill. A donation of $5 per person is suggested. Light refreshments will be available.

Readings by some of the best local poets, such as Ron Egatz and Ibrahim Asad Siddiq, will open the event followed by interactive poetry activities for the whole family. The event will conclude with an open mic for anyone who wishes to read a favorite poem of theirs or share some of their original work.
There will be a raffle of a “basket” of poetry as well as complimentary copies of volumes of poetry, on a first come, first served basis.
