Peekskill Seeking Sponsors For School Supply Giveaway
The goal is to provide book bags and school supplies to students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
PEEKSKILL, NY — The City of Peekskill Youth Bureau is coordinating its annual Back to School Supply Giveaway and is seeking community sponsors.
The event is in collaboration with the Peekskill City School District, Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and community partners.
The first Back to School Rally was coordinated in 2015 by Tuesday Paige McDonald and hosted by Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Organizers said the immediate aim is to come together as a community to provide book bags and school supplies to students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
2023’s Back to School Supply Giveaway will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24 at Peekskill’s Depew Park.

All book bags will be dropped off from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24 directly to Pugsley Park.
